2015-04-03 00:05:14 I couldn't caution you enough to stay away from this venue. The owner comes off as flexible, nice and willing to make your day perfect. The reality is, he will nickel and dime you to death and go back on every verbal contract that he gives you to convince you to book. He made our wedding week so stressful that we seriously considered pulling our wedding from there and spending money somewhere else. Less than a week before we were there going over details and he fought us tooth and nail and everything we thought had been settled 6 months prior. While there, we discovered the roof was leaking in our party room and called it to his attention. He brushed it off and said to "pray for a cold day so that the roof freezes over and doesn't leak."
Now I wish we had, as our reception was cut short by his insistence to break down the room at 10:30 (we were told that we had the room until 1am and the breakdown was included in the price) and my family and bridal party had to dismantle everything only 3 hours into the reception.
He also charged us an additional $100 for ONE HOUR of open bar (there were less than 20 people drinking) and charged us $170 for a coffee station that we never got.
The food was typical banquet food- nothing impressive.
I couldn't caution you enough to stay away from here. This is a day we can never get back and it was ruined by this scumbag. —ChristinaJones
