2009-05-11 18:30:50 At first was hesitant about ordering subs and pizza from a "Chinese place" but very happy i went there. The chicken finger sub was the closest to a Buffalo style chicken finger sub (yes one actually from buffalo) that I have ever tasted in Rochester. For some reason so many places in Rochester just can't get it right, they drown the fingers in sauce and you end up with a soggy mess, but not here! Just make sure you specify you want the fingers mild/med/hot on it. The rolls they use appear to be and taste like Costanza rolls that they use in Buffalo. The fried dumplings also appear to be deep fried which is quite delicious. The pizza is great as well, and they are consistently open till 2 am with delivery (don't know anywhere else that in Roc that like that). The dining room isn't set up for a romantic dinner IMO as they have a TV set up normally with a movie on but it has great quick food, especially late at night. —JohnPaulTakats
2009-09-23 15:42:38 I was also hesitant because any place that claims to make "everything" probably makes nothing well. Yet, I was hopeful because they are open until 3am and my friends and I can never agree on what type of food we want to order. Monroe Ave is so filled with great restaurants of every kind you can get anything just not from one place and not if you are hungry after partying late. I was disappointed. One of my friends ordered Chinese one ordered Italian and one ordered Greek. Everything tasted Chinese it was like the meat was all seasoned already and they just cooked it and through it in to what ever type of food they made. The fried rice was burnt, everything was greasy and I just felt sick after I ate like you might after eating a large amount of low quality food that was not healthy for you one bit. I am usually a healthy eater so this might of been a system shock or something but if you are use to low quality greasy food you might love it. The portions were large and the price was lower than if you had actually went to a Chinese, Italian or Greek place but the quality was lower then I would like. Another plus was when I called I spoke to someone who was clearly American so I did not have to worry about trying to under stand a person of Asian descent while trying to figure out exactly what my friends wanted to eat. So if you are drunk and starving at 2am on a Sunday morning I would recommend them but if it is 7pm on a Tuesday night order for Big Deal Pizza, Subway, Astoria, or Ming's Take Out. After years of living around Monroe Ave these are my favorites. —fieldofflowers
