Island Fresh Cuisine

New Jamaican restaurant that just opened (finally!) in the CompUSA Plaza.

Unlike most of the other Jamaican choices in town, this one is a large and very nicely finished restaurant. It's definitely not a dive. Alas, it's a bit expensive.

On the bright side, they definitely live up to their name as far as "fresh". Unlike the other Jamaican restaurants in town that I've visited (LJ's and Natural Vibes Jerk Hut) that serve mostly precooked food, the food came out piping hot and delicious. It didn't taste like it had been sitting around for a few hours. I had to wait 15 minutes for takeout.

I'd have a hard time picking between this place and LJ's for jerk chicken. I like the spices on LJ's more, but the sauce here is much better (I think LJ's uses standard Kraft BBQ sauce.. ugh).
