2005-12-09 11:13:01   The new photos are great. I made them thumbs because: Pages load faster; Captions help enhance the value of the photo; Layout is nicer with thumbs on the right and text on the left; Most pages have thumbs so we can be consistent. —RottenChester

2005-12-09 15:52:09   I hadn't realized that you could thumbnail the images, perhaps a note on the image upload page would help. Right now all there is a mention of "Please supply at least an image name, e.g. [[Image(image.jpg)]], where image.jpg is an image that's been uploaded to this page. —TomMaszerowski

2005-12-09 23:18:35   Ron, We try to keep people to posting pictures they took themselves, or pictures they know are public domain. If some pictures on here (yours or not) don't fit that, please let us know. —FarMcKon

2006-07-18 20:23:35   If photos are CC licensed then they can be used provided the work is credited. Most of my photos, some of which appear on RocWiki, are CC licensed Attribution / Non Commercial / Share Alike which means anyone can use them for any reason, alter them and re-share them provide they don’t make money on them and they attribute them even if they only use a small part of a photo. Works that require permission are generally "All rights reserved" copyrighted. So Yes, it's common practice to use CC lic work. See creativecommons.org for more. —Rick

2006-07-19 16:22:25   If photos of yours, that you have not licensed as Creative Common in a way we can use, are being used, then we need to fix that. We should not be using unlicensed photos. —FarMcKon

2010-07-21 15:27:21   does anyone remember a band who play in the early 80's named video? they played at the riverboat (off east river road) quite a bit. All members of the band were married - though I don't really think that is important, unusual maybe.

2012-01-12 13:56:50   That's been brought up at wiki meetings several times. The short answer is not with the current software, but there is an effort to move to a newer system that can do that. —DamianKumor
