The Universal Terran Church (UTC - AKA Uniterran Church) and Uniterran Interfaith Fellowship is a non denominational, Interfaith Church that seeks to strengthen and reinforce each person's path by encouraging diversity, acceptance, respect, and tolerance among all creatures. The Uniterran Church is Pagan 1 and not to be confused with the Unitarian Church.
The following description was offered by the Reverend MirlinPoplar in 2005:
-
Note: Universal Terran Church is NOT associated with the Finger Lakes Drum Circle. Their web site is http://www.uniterran-church.org/2 . The Finger Lakes Drum Circle was founded by the same individual who founded The Universal Terran Church. That individual is Mirlin Poplar, who no longer is in charge of the Finger Lakes Drum Circle."
"UTC is composed of open-minded, spiritual and magickal people from any and all religious backgrounds. It is our goal to commit to live within a manner that honors all life and strives never intentionally bring any manner of harm to another life. We feel coaxed and coerced by nature itself to learn and teach about the preservation of, and reverence for the pristine Planet known as Earth, or more properly known as Terra, as well as the creatures and plant life that live thereon. We are not a Wiccan coven, yet we say as it harms none, do as you will. We are not a Christian church, yet we say to love your neighbor as yourself.
Many Wars and disagreements have occured throughout history because of divisions in religion. We are saying, let's not quarrel over who believes what anymore. We are saying that, we need not kill and oppose one another because we believe our path is any better than any one elses. We are saying, let's take the time to learn about the religions of others, while teaching about ours.
We are not perfect, yet we strive to be the best we can be. To us, all paths are acceptable and valid so long as they are peaceful, spiritually uplifting, open-minded, educational, and do not seek to control others or profess to be the only true path. The term "one true God" shall not be tolerated within the auspices of The UTC. No person shall be denied access to membership on the basis of gender, race, ethnic background, skin color, hair or eye color, other religious or social memberships, sexual preference or orientation, physical handicap, age, physical appearance, social status, financial background, credit history, popularity, or past criminal record once restitution has been made.
It doesn't matter if you are Catholic, Protestant, Pagan, Jewish, Morman, Agnostic, Atheist, Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Santerian, Asatruar or even Satanic. If you can practice Diversity, Acceptance, Respect and Tolerance with those of other religions and freely share your own without judging, without proselytizing, without condemnation and declaring your way is right and someone elses is wrong, then consider joining with us. We accept all earth-loving, peaceful and spiritually uplifting paths that seek to serve the earth and humanity and that endeavor to never intentionally cause harm to any life form.
There are three chapter parishes of The Universal Terran Church; Finger Lakes in New York and Sunshine Grove in Daytona, Florida.
The tradition established by the Universal Terran Church is known as "Uniterranism" or "Uniterran Paganism". More often, The Universal Terran Church is being referred to as the "Uniterran Church". It is occasionally confused with the "Unitarian" Church, but they are not the same thing.
