Benches on Parade was a community arts project that showcased local creativity and civic pride while helping raise funds for local non-for-profits. The 117 benches were painted by the local artists and then auctioned to local businesses.

Some people make it an adventure to find and sit on as many as possible. Many benches are put in well trafficked areas but some are hidden to the side so you may need the map on the homepage to find all of them.

The project was part of the The Big Parade who also did Horses on Parade. The horses and benches were the subject of WXXI specials.
