Bishop Butler Books, run by the Bishop Butler Society, is a bookseller devoted to the works of Bishop Joseph Butler, an eighteenth-century English theologian and philosopher. In addition to acquiring and selling books and artifacts by and related to Butler, they also teach courses on him at St. John Fisher College. Non-credit courses are also available at Books, Etc. in Macedon, Writers & Books in Rochester, and the local Christian Formation.
Co-operator David E. White has edited a complete edition of Butler's works published by the University of Rochester Press in 2006.
Bishop Butler Books is a member of the Rochester Area Booksellers Association and regular exhibitor at the Rochester Antiquarian Book Fair.
