2012-08-21 16:38:18 Sometimes they are friendly, and sometimes they are not. They were surprisingly accommodating when I asked them to measure my ring size, even though I told them up-front that I would not be purchasing my wedding band through them. I was prepared to pay them for the service, but they did the measurement for free — and they didn't seem mad that I was buying the ring on-line.
On the other hand, I went to Canalside once for help with a broken watch band, and they basically blew me off. They didn't carry that brand of watch, and they just weren't very helpful to me — even though I think the problem was minor, and they could have fixed it anyway. —Rochester-Native
2013-11-14 18:03:07 Bought a setting at Canalside Jewelers and had a diamond mounted, it broke within months, luckily she found the setting and stone in the sink. Canalside says she banged into something, so they'll repair it at our expense. We said it must not be much of a quality ring if the entire setting broke off without her knowing it. Poor quality and even poorer customer service. —RDickerson
