The Captain Throop House Bed and Breakfast is a landmark 1832 cobblestone house in the lakeside historic district of Pultneyville. Located on the Seaway Trail it is a bed & breakfast featuring antiques, fireplaces, perennial gardens, casual, homey atmosphere. Continental plus breakfast.
Captain Throop "was known to be involved in the Underground Railroad, and it's likely that this house was a last stop for many former slaves before they made their was across Lake Ontario (in Captain Throop's boat?) to Canada."1
