2009-02-22 15:43:35   best sandwiches i have had in a long long time. i am a vegetarian, had the eggplant and the spinach pie, and it was absolutely delicious. i can only imagine that the meat sandwiches are just as good. —44busdrivers

2009-02-22 18:19:04   Very friendly people, I asked the gentlemen who introduced himself as Mike Cuomo to recommend a sub. He whipped me up his favorite, a grilled soprassata, which is a hot spicy salami-like sandwich and absolutely delicious. This sub beats the pants off anything else I have had in Rochester, I have been back twice since and hope to try some of their other sandwiches. The people working here are always excited to show you what they have cooking up be it fresh pesto or their homemade pasta sauce. Looks promising and is in a great location. —WindyPig

2009-03-22 14:01:11   As I was walking by the deli last night, a man standing on the stoop who appeared to work there made an obnoxious comment to me. I guess it was supposed to be flirty, but it unfortunately didn't give me a good impression. —OxfordWriter

2009-05-22 17:17:01   Cuomo's is small, with only a couple sidewalk tables and a couple indoor tables. I found the staff to be pleasant and knowledgeable. My order of the eggplant sandwich was amazing - the perfect mix of flavors and texture. The dessert case was empty when I visited, but I'd love to return and sample the tiramisu or cannoli. —EllenKelsey

2009-05-29 18:18:58   Actually, no, I am not her. This place sounds really great actually from the other comments posted here. I probably got the wrong impression, since it sounds like the Deli is actually very friendly and customer oriented, but I guess I am just a woman who doesn't appreciate the random comments some men feel free to make! —OxfordWriter

2009-07-07 22:16:25   Stopped in today around 4pm for the first time. I had not had any lunch, so I was starving and was looking for a small late lunch/snack to tide me over before dinner. I ordered a small (6") meatball sandwich which was reasonably priced at $5.50. My intention was to eat half of it and still have dinner later. Well, long story short, it's 10pm and I'm still too full for dinner tonight :-) . The meatballs were very good! I'm assuming they were homemade. The owner was very friendly, introducing himself, and telling me a little about the place. His son made my sandwich, and asked if I wanted banana peppers and onions, which is how he likes to eat it - so I bit. He didn't just throw peppers & onions on top of the meatballs, he heated up a pan and sautéed the peppers and onions with the meatballs! It was very good! Kind of cross between a meatball & steak sandwich. I'll definitely be back. —NoBS
