Edgerton Park is a Rochester park located in the Edgerton neighborhood. It is also the site of the Edgerton Community Center. Together they comprise a major portion of the city's recreation program on the West side. These facilities have been active for many years and in 2011 celebrated their 100th anniversary!
The park is obviously suited more for outdoor pursuits. It includes a running track, several baseball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis courts, bocce courts, a playground, a football/soccer field and a walking trail. During the Summer a spray park operates here that is popular with the kids.
The community center is active year-round with programs for children, teens and adults. It has a game room, a weight room, multipurpose rooms and a kitchen that serves children's breakfasts and lunches in the Summer, and Dinners during the school year. Probably the best-known facilities are the Model Railroad Room and the Stardust Ballroom which operates a dance series that is popular with seniors.
