2010-10-11 10:03:29 Located close to Panorama Trail, this store is in a small strip mall. They carry Ukranian, Russian, Polish, and German products among many others. There are shelves of jars and canned goods. They have some decent yogurt, kefir, and cheese in the refrigerated section, and many varieties of perogies and pelmeni in the freezer. I like to buy their half-sour pickles which they get shipped in bulk from Brooklyn and sell in small plastic tubs. I haven't tried the deli meats but they look good. Have bought some good smoked fish. They sell a fair amount of caviar and fish roe, and what most of my money often gets spent on at this market is on excellent salmon roe which is sushi quality "ikura" which I use when making Japanese meals. They sell refrigerated (frozen is usually available as well if you ask) ikura shipped from a company in Seattle, WA which obviously exports to Japan as well, because the only other labeling on the package besides English is in Japanese, which roughly translates to "exclusive top quality grade ikura". When I moved to Rochester, I would have never guessed that a european deli would be my source for ikura to be used for my sushi, chirashi zushi, salmon/ikura donburi, etc. —KairakuShugisha
2013-12-01 09:17:11 I went here on Saturday, the service was SLOW! Also they sat us near the doors and it was cold and drafty. All our feet were cold. The food was really really good though. They might need to get lessons in restauranting, they'd be good for that Gordon Ramsay show maybe. —Damiankumor

2014-04-03 20:07:58 This is a new cafe that recently opened. Attached to a pan-Eastern European deli, it serves coffee, breakfast, and some sandwiches. The menu is not expansive but the food is impeccably prepared and delicious! The crepes are delicious and the fillings are superb. The latte and espresso are Italian and are smooth enough to enjoy without sugar - not a hint of bitterness. The smells emanating from the kitchen are tempting. Give it a try, for something "off the beaten path"
