Finger Lakes Aerosport Park (FLAP) is part of Long Acre Farms, with a small airfield north of Macedon. They provide hang gliding via aerotowing - the glider is towed behind an ultralight aircraft to an altitude of around 2000 ft, where it is released. The glider can then take advantage of thermals to climb even higher. Experienced flyers can launch off of wheeled carts, or those new to the sport can ride tandem with an instructor, using a glider with landing gear. FLAP is the only aerotow hang gliding park in NY.
