Gates Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc. was founded in 1964 to serve the emergency needs of the residents of the town of Gates. Since then, the organization has grown to over 100 volunteer and career members and a fleet of 6 vehicles.
GVAS reponds to over 4000 calls for assistance annually, with a majority of the responses requirings Advanced Life Support.
