The Harro East Building is located in downtown's St. Joseph's Park Neighborhood. It built in the 1930s as the home of the Jewish Young Men's and Women's Association. The building was abandoned in 1973 when the current Jewish Community Center was built in Brighton, although the theater, now known as the Triangle Theater, continued to host live music. Devo and the Psychedelic_Furs performed there, as did local acts Don Potter and John Mooney.
Harro East has since been rehabbed twice: first in 1988 and again in 2010. Today, the theater has been revamped into the Harro East Ballroom, while the Harro East Athletic Club takes up a large portion of the building as well. The hair salon Rita Styles is also located here.
Note that the address is sometimes listed as 155 North Chestnut Street.
