I-Square is a mixed-use development in Irondequoit, off Titus Avenue, intended to serve as a town center for Irondequoit. It currently has a "food court" consisting of several restaurants, as well as a conference center. Future plans call for rooftop gardens, an outdoor amphitheater, office space, an art gallery and science center called the Imaginarium.
The developers are Mike and Wendy Nolan. According to the website1, their goals are:
-
developing a “Four Corners” by extending Cooper Rd and eliminating Union Pk
-
creating a Town Square by blending shopping, dining and living in one place
-
constructing new buildings with modern amenities and interesting architecture
-
making crosswalks safer and the entire area more pedestrian and bike friendly
-
promoting an atmosphere that is safe and fun for all ages
-
incorporating a Stage for community concert, and an Art Gallery for artists
-
working with local businesses and supporting their efforts
-
involving the community in all aspects of the development process
Construction included a new road, intersection, sidewalk, and utilities.
The I-Square currently has the following restaurants:
