Jersey St. is a small residential street on the City's East side. Jersey St runs from East Main Street to Garson Ave. Jersey St.'s claim to fame is a house explosion which happened at 105 Jersey St on August 1, 1988. A man wishing to commit suicide filled his house with gas and eventually ignited it. The resulting blast destroyed his home and badly damaged several others. Jersey St. joins a long history of explosions in and around Rochester.
