There are so many great places to eat in SW Rochester. This morning I ran up to Mama Kim's at 808 Brown Street. One of the most striking things about this great little diner is, how clean it is. Why do I mention this, because some people when they think of Bull's Head might assume the opposite. But Mama Kim keeps this place gorgeous.
Just as she attends to the cleanlesness of her restaurant she also give that attention to her food. Now this is diner food, so its cheap eats, but the food is well prepared and tasty. My eggs were exactly as ordered Over medium. The menu gives you several options. My corned beef hash was tasty. Coffee was good and fresh. My only criticism is toast is either white or wheat and I am a Rye or Pumpernickel fan. From past visits, I also know that there is some Kim Chi available for those who ask.
Lastly the restaurant has a nice neighborly crowd in the morning. This is a warm and friendly place to grab a booth at the counter, Watch Mama Kim work, and talk about the latest sports or neighborhood news. —EileenF
