Rochester Area Twenty Somethings (aka R.A.T.S.) was inspired by the good idea that Rochester is lacking in a post-college age culture, and instead of moaning about it, they should do something about it.
As of February 2010 it would seem the organization has faded out of use - see Gone, But Not Forgotten
History
The Rochester-Area 20-Somethings (R.A.T.S.) was a community's group for 20- to 29-year-olds looking for social interaction, networking, and community service. They had events and activities that catered to all tastes, and encouraged meaningful alternatives to the bar scene.
They supported active lifestyles, and were open to all men and women 20 to 29 years old. They were neither politically nor religiously affiliated, and they did not charge dues or joining fees.
They were not just a social group, they were not just a networking group, and they were not just a volunteering group... they were all three at once!
They were committed to building Rochester's 20-something community, and in turn supporting Rochester's growth. Additionally, they helped our community by undertaking the occasional service project.
R.A.T.S. was the group for all 20-somethings wanting to make a difference in and with their lives, and they offer low-committal, fun, inexpensive activities to enjoy together!
