Rochester City Bank. c. 1838 Rochester City Bank was a bank in Rochester. It was started in 1836 by a group of New York City investors. Jacob Gould served as the first president of the bank.
The bank was built on State Street, constructed with Lockport stone. The bank's design was modeled after the Bank of America in New York City.
The bank lasted until 1887.1
