Subway Erie Canal Revitalization (SECR) AKA Chill the Fill was a local grassroots organization formed to try to stop Rochester's Historic Subway/Canal from being buried. They were seeking a moratorium, until the community could come to a consensus about how best to recycle the site.

The subway was built in the original Erie Canal bed after the Canal was rerouted out of Downtown Rochester.
