2007-09-06 10:55:45   I will not and have not gone to Schooners in over a year because of poor food and even poorer service. Recently, my husband and 2 children went without me. They were seated and waited over 20 minutes for a server to greet them let alone take their order. No such luck! He came home and told me what happened. I called Schooners and asked to speak with the Manager. I told her, the Manager, that I just wanted to let her know about the situation (so that maybe she could address the issue). The manager was extremely defensive, short, and abrupt. She hung up on me! Never, in all my years of customer service, have I ever encountered such a reaction from management! 2009-08-29 19:09:11   Went for dinner and one app and two entrees came out before steamed clams. What happened to serving the kids first. When the clams came there was more dirt than clam in the plastic basket. I don't know where they are getting the clams but I would complain to the purveyor. At one point there were seven staff members sitting at the front of the restaurant. Waist of money for the owner. No salesmanship by the staff. No specials, food or drink. No offer of dessert. Lost sales. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. —ericsmith
