Skylark Lounge is a bar in the East End. Their menu is simple but unique: five meatballs, five sauces, five sides. According to City Newspaper, the "five meatballs offered are traditional ground beef, barbecue pork, spicy chicken, vegetarian eggplant, and turkey."
It opened in November 2011.

2012-03-07 10:29:07 I have been here several times with friends and my husband. The place has a great vibe! We enjoy spending time there. It was a nice place to have a conversation or listen to the jukebox (There is space for bands, so there may be live music some nights?). The bartenders are capable and friendly. They only serve meatballs (and side dishes) and they are delicious! The meatball sliders are only $2! Great for a snack or a couple for a meal. There are different options for sauces and meatballs.
Sauces include: Marinara/traditional, Basil Pesto Cream, Buffalo, Roasted Red Pepper, and Parmesan Cream.
Meatballs include: Traditional, Buffalo Chicken, BBQ Pork, and Vegetarian (eggplant base)
My husband and I decided to split several different sliders when we have gone. The sliders bread is delicious very fresh and tasty. The meatballs are amazing, a slight crisp to the outside and nice and moist on the inside. We have liked every sauce and meatball combo we have tried. Our favorites have been Traditional with Basil Pesto, Buffalo Chicken with Buffalo sauce, and Roasted Red Pepper on Traditional or Veggie. We can't wait to go back! —KatieS
2013-02-18 00:09:34 My husband and I stopped in for the first time tonight because we were still a little hungry after a light sushi dinner and had read about the meatballs. All I can say is, oh wow. I ordered the pork meatball slider with red pepper sauce, and my husband had the special, a black bean meatball slider with remoulade. They were both cooked to absolute perfection, and the sauces had exquisite flavor. Really, they were SO good I CANNOT believe they were only $2. We each also had a draft beer (3HB The Kind for me, and a Guinness for him.) $12 total. Good beer, amazing food, amazing value. We'll definitely be back — and I think we'll just skip the sushi next time and plan on an entire dinner here! —ajh
2017-11-30 15:53:29 The meatballs are pretty incredible. I can't rave about them enough. The place itself is hit or miss, largely on what crowd shows up. But it's cheap, the food is good, and the place is unique. —DE
