2006-03-19 16:00:05   - If you're going to bother with a pedicure, get the best one on the menu. I did, at Elan, with no regrets. Gross dead skin gone. Just the right amount of client/nail tech interaction. A very yummy service. I do have some criticism regarding the intimidation factor however; OK, you walk into a swanky hotel and have to go to the 2nd floor to get to the spa. Fine. But when the girl at the front spa desk doesn't offer to take your coat, get you a glass of water, and doesn't escort you into the waiting area/lounge but points to it, then leaves you in there by yourself, ignored, until it's 15 minutes past your appointment start time, when the pedicurist fetches you come on. On the up side, the lounge had a nice fireplace, comfy chairs, and good magazines. —AndreaLipomi
