The Tay House Lodge at Cobbs Hill Park is a park lodge located at School #1 and Monroe County Water Authority. The lodge is available for rental year-round, daily except Mondays.
The lodge was built in 1931 thanks largely to the efforts of J. Taylor "Uncle Tay" Howard, the founder of Boy Scout Troop 19 (commonly known as Tay House Troop 19). Troop 19 continues to meet in the cabin to this day.

2007-11-30 20:04:40 I remember as a kid going to the Tay House during the winter to sled. They had a mad-wicked hill that would send you flying if you hit the bump just right. —MrPhil
2008-02-21 11:35:59 They still have that hill, and for greater sledding thrills you can walk further up the hill into the woods, just don't hit a tree. —GeorgeHaberberger
