2007-02-25 18:23:49 I Like it. They don't have the selection, but if you're a Wedger, this could be the solution to your lost McGregors. They have 4 CB's on tap, and a $6 eat till they run out buffet on Sunday, as well as a full menu. Thumbs up! —BillJohnson
2007-03-15 08:32:35 I live out of town but used to walk to Dicky's. Any details on what the place is like? What's the crowd, the vibe? Thanks! —BadFish
2007-05-17 14:58:04 This is actually a pretty good bar. I think the only disadvatage is that it'ssomewhat hidden from everyone else. Great selection of taps, decent food, and definetely a different, nicer, crowd than the old Dicky's patrons. A great, rustic bar. Worth checking out, I highly recommend it, especailly with MacGregors closing. —MetalFrost
2007-07-19 22:44:12 It isn't hidden from me! This bar is right down the street and everyone who works there is always friendly. No air conditioning though, but otherwise I like it. —SaraChristine
2007-12-08 23:46:06 Based on these reviews, my friends and I decided to check the place out. Not at all what I expected. It's a dump. Not a cafe that's for sure. The kitchen was closed, which is fine because I can't imagine eating there. I was hoping for at least a friendly atmosphere. Sadly, there wasn't one. —DustyDusty
2008-09-29 19:43:43 Whoever now owns the building is not renewing the lease. The Black Pearl is now closed. It had a good run for the two years it was open. —MetalFrost

2010-01-19 18:59:38 The bar has been reopened and once again called "Dicky's". It has been renovated inside and looks great. —MetalFrost
