The Whiting Building is an interesting example of vintage architecture in the Upper East End. Along with the two buildings on either side, it is currently vacant and awaiting a developer with great ideas.

2012-08-04 18:27:37 According to a nearby business owner, these buildings need asbestos abatement and other extensive repairs to be brought up to modern code. Which is really a shame because this is a very active neighborhood and you hate seeing abandoned storefronts here. —EileenF
