Wiki Picnic

Minutes for the Meeting are up at Wiki Community/June 2009 Wiki Meeting.

The RocWiki Contributors' Meeting for the month of June will be held:

Date: Sunday, 28 June


Time: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm


Location: Pavilion at Buckland Park, 1341 Westfall Road, Brighton, NY

All RocWiki contributors are welcome to attend.

Please bring something to put on the grill and a side dish to share. You might also wish to consider a small cash donation to cover the cost of consumables and the facility rental. Profits, if any, will pay for hosting rocwiki.org.

Brighton Recreation prohibits alcoholic beverages in the park. No booze. Beer will get us kicked out of the park.

If you'd like to organize/participate in some sort of activity, post it here!

• Keysigning: if you're interested in exchanging key signatures, let Ryan know at <rtucker AT gmail DOT com>, or just bring slips of paper with your key fingerprint.

• Administrivia: RyanTucker: name tags, a Sharpie, donation box, some RocWiki cards, the crappiest RocWiki Picnic sign he can muster up, paper towels, handy-wipes

• Burgers: PeteB (some—like 6 extra as we haven't had many RSVP's), JoannaLicata: 4 veggie burgers
  

• Charcoal: DawnTucker
  

• Condiments: PeteB (Ketchup/Mustard only)
  

• Grilling Tools: RyanTucker: chimney starter (chimney, newspaper, spray), turner, tongs
  

• Salad: RyanTucker
  

• Sides: JoannaLicata: some kind of pasta salad. PeteB- Pasta & Rosa Marina Salad

2009-06-23 11:55:23   Shame that attendees can't enjoy a couple good beers responsibly at this event. I think most other county parks allow it while picnicing, as long as food is being served. —jjjingleheimer

2009-06-25 16:27:25   Given the considerably limited wiki budget, we went with the most cost-effective, centrally-located option available, and the cost delta between county parks and Brighton parks is substantial. It is a bummer about the alcohol, but it's probably a reasonable tradeoff for a Sunday luncheon. We'll see. —RyanTucker
