A cappella is Italian for "from the chapel." The chapel it refers to is the Sistine Chapel, which does not have an organ. The term has been adopted to describe vocal ensembles which don't use instrumental accompaniment. A cappella groups on college campuses often have one member beatbox for a little added rhythm. They usually perform arrangements of pop songs and sometimes spice up their shows with comedic skits between the singing. The members of these groups/bands create music with nothing other than what god gave them at birth. In other words, NUDE music... "Look Ma, no instruments."
