Colonypalooza was a party held at the Colony Manor apartments on the RIT campus on May 8, 2004. Over 500 people attended, and the Monroe County Sherrif's Department was called in to break up the party. The scene quickly turned to a riot as some of the attendees reportedly threw glass bottles at some of the officers, and the officers responded by firing tear gas into the crowd.
