Dharma Refuge is a Buddhist practice and study center for meditation training and inquiry within the Tibetan Buddhist Mahayana tradition. Their sangha is a community of people dedicated to walking the path of wakefulness through an exploration of Buddhist wisdom and contemporary life. They integrate both traditional Buddhist methods of study, self-reflection, inquiry and meditation with secular, empirically-based practices of mindfulness, altruism and self-compassion. The cultivation of Bodhichitta—the wish to be awakened in order to benefit all living beings is at heart of their approach to living awake.

Dharma Refuge operates under resident teacher and spiritual director Sue Kochan, ordained by Anam Thubten Rinpoche within Tibetan Buddhism's Nyingma tradition.
