See Gone, But Not Forgotten

Hot To Trot was a pizzeria located in Gates. Their speciality was their slices, which were as large as the slices at Piatza's, and arguably as good. As of June 4, 2009, it closed and has been replaced by another pizza shop.

2007-07-15 22:01:18   This place still has a large PIATZA'S sign above it, and up until recently didn't do a very good job of advertising that they weren't Piatza's. Their slices are 10x as greasy but with half the flavor of Piatza's. —CoryChristian

2008-03-21 09:33:13   It may not be Piatza's, but I still enjoy going here when I'm in the area late at night. I agree that the grease has increased since becoming Hot To Trot. There is a small amount of space for dine in, though most people get takeout. —AlexanderGartley

2008-06-05 11:40:28   I stopped in on Monday June 2, and they were closed because they are in the process of moving to a new location nearby. Not sure when they will be set-up in the new location. I would guess they would keep the same number though. —AlexanderGartley

2008-06-12 14:11:55   we drove by the other day... now there is a sign saying we aren't moving, we are remodeling but all signs of life and their name are gone... —JcPop

2008-07-20 18:18:25   RIP if the rumors are true.

We were heading to the Tahou's on Lyell in early 2007 (right before the name change) only to find that they went on a two-week hiatus. A Wegmans employee told us about Hot to Trot, which had a very intriguing item on the menu - a wing plate. 6 buffalo style wings on a bed of macaroni salad and fries, covered in ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce.

It was... odd, and didn't really work. We stuck to pizza every time after that. Hot to Trot did make a very good Country Sweet-style slice. —ZachSmalt
