Known over the last 10 years as The Pilates Center of Rochester (d.b.a.), and as Innerworks Fitness and Education Center, Innerworks Studio on North Goodman Street was devoted to functional movement-based exercise such as Pilates and Gyrotonic® and the work of its founder, Addison Heffernan and Innerworks, LLC. The work here provided exercise to the public, while focusing as an education center.
The studio itself featured a fully-equipped Pilates environment including Universal Reformers, Cadillac, Mats, Wall-Units, Chairs, Barrels, and many accoutrements to both support and challenge the movement, stabilization, and alignment of the human body. The studio equipment included the Gyrotonic® Pulley-Tower Combination System and the Gyrotonic® Ladder. Anatomical models and charts assist the ongoing education of both clients and instructor trainees.

2008-06-05 14:21:11 I am taking private classes with the owner of Innerworks, Addison, and enjoying it very much. I find this to be a much more comfortable learning environment than some of the other pilates centers I have tried out locally. Addison is very patient and helpful. —KimBee
