Jake Russo was the crime boss of Rochester's crime family, a part of the Mafia, from 1958 to 1964. He was originally a mobster from New Jersey, but relocated to Upstate New York due to his relationship with the Buffalo Crime Family. He went missing in December of 1964, and his body was never found. He was succeeded as crime boss by Frank Valenti, his suspected killer.
