Le Roy is a town and village in Genesee County, 28 miles southwest of Rochester, and mostly known as the last exit on I-490 West before the New York State Thruway. The spelling is highly inconsistent, and you may see it with or without a space.
Don't forget to visit the Jello Museum or the Le Roy Country Club. Also check out the Oatka Festival.
Major roads through this community are routes 5 and 19.
History
LeRoy is likely an anglicized version of Le Roi, which is French for "The King".
