2008-04-20 16:44:05   Went there for a friend's birthday last night and was thrilled with the bar and the crowd. Slightly older/more sophisticated crowd - similar to what you'd expect to find at the Southwedge's Tap & Mallet. Good beer selection and very friendly bartenders/staff. Had a turkey sandwich with Guinness rye bread and spicy mustard at the end of the evening - absolutely delicious. I'll be back, hopefully in the near future. —GreenBrenana

2008-06-02 09:34:16   I think this place is trying to be the Tap & Mallet of the Park Ave area. It is a beautiful bar, but it's very tiny and very loud. That being said, it seems like they have a pretty decent selection of beer and I saw many girls drinking cocktails. It's not in my neighborhood and not very cheap though, so I doubt I will go back. —SaraChristine

2009-02-18 21:28:43   My friend and I used to frequent this pub for its affordable (and delicious) potato salad and deli pickle combo. We went tonight, however, only to discover that both had suffered a severe decline in quality. The potato salad, once almost perfect, had been victimized by an unfortunate infusion of egg yoke. Alas, the pickles, too, disappointed. Where they were once whole, they are now quartered. We noticed a new "hot foods" appeteaser menu on the wall. Perhaps these dishes have come at the cost of their cold entrees. We'll not be returning any time soon. —JeffreyL

2009-05-20 13:35:02   Pleasantly surprised! Really charming place, all the bartenders and people working there were really friendly and a lot of them introduced themselves with free shots to me and my companion. A nice addition to the area. —Leisel
