Read's Ice Cream was an ice cream parlor on East Henrietta Road in Henrietta.
Each year on April Fool's Day, Read's featured an "April Fool's" flavor if ice cream, available for one day only. In 2008, they offered "Picnic Supreme", which featured ketchup, mustard, relish, and more mixed into the ice cream. The 2009 flavor was "Old Ball Game", which contained hot dogs, cracker jacks, and peanuts mixed into vanilla ice cream.

2010-02-18 12:59:52 The best ice cream in Rochester. This place gets no love from the urban folk who think Henrietta is in the boondocks, but I say this places creams every creamery in the area. Great service, family friendly, incredible variety, and all home made by Mr and Mrs Read. It's almost too corny to be true. Can sit outside in the summer on benches outback; great after a long day of work. Check their website for winter hours before going there (since they close a little earlier in the colder months). —BryanHarrison
