"Five funders, working closely with the Enterprise Community Partners, launched the RCDC in the spring of 2000. RCDC funds helped selected organizations increase their capacity to develop complex housing and economic development projects. By helping community development groups do so, RCDC expected recipient organizations to show comprehensive and measurable outcomes that would improve the quality of life for neighborhood residents. To achieve these goals, RCDC provided:
Four community development groups were selected in 2000. Additional groups were added in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
Ongoing project management and oversight is from the Enterprise Community Partners Rochester office. www.enterprisecommunity.org
A diverse group of public and private funders have contributed varying amounts to fund the RCDC.
