http://starfest.ritstar.comSTARfest is an annual science fiction convention organized by Space-Time Adventures at RIT (STAR), the RIT science fiction club. The convention features a number of events, including panels, game rooms, movie screenings, lightsaber duels, cosplay contest, Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, dance, and more.
Organizational Structure
The STAR bridge crew creates a STARfest planning committee each fall, which is overseen by the bridge crew's first officer until the committee elects a chair. Any STAR member in good standing is eligible to join the committee. The committee elects members to oversee particular aspects of the convention (panels, volunteers, screenings, etc.).
STARfest accepts applications from the public for volunteers to help run the event and provide assistance to attendees.
