Saint Aubyn's House of Soups was a soup and sandwich shop and is now closed, but not forgotten.
Owner Hank Rudolph and his business partner & chef, both of whom had worked in the Rochester food scene, originally wanted to create a grocery store at their property at the corner of Gregory Street and Ashland in the South Wedge. As they planned out the store's offerings, they realized they did not want to run a grocery. Thus started the House of Soups, which on my credit card receipt is named "ST. AUBYN'S HOUSE OF SOAPS"[sic]. Unfortunately, St. Aubyn's is now defunct.
The menu included a variety of homemade soups, sandwiches, and Caribbean specialities like ox-tail and jerk chicken.
Formerly listed as House of Soups

2007-03-28 14:24:50 I got to spend about 8 hours freezing inside of what used to be Saint Aubyn's as an extra for The Alphabet Killer a few months ago! Is something else going in here? I drove by a few days ago and it looked like it might be open. —RachelBlumenthal
