The Stutson St. Bridge begins to open The Spirit of Rochester passes under the Stutson St. Bridge
The Stutson Street Bridge was a lift bridge built in Charlotte in 1916. It is the only lift bridge in the city. The design was a two-leaf bascule bridge of the Strauss design, 178 feet between pins.
On October 1, 2004, the new Patrick O'Rorke Bridge opened to traffic, replacing the Stutson Street Bridge.
