2007-04-19 09:01:46   [WWW]http://RocWiki.org/wiki probably shouldn't load a directory listing. —JasonOlshefsky

2007-04-19 09:04:21   Is it possible to add "recent comments" section to the home page? — something to highlight "what people are talking about" or provide a hint to a page that someone might not have looked at. Either that or pages that have "buzz". Do ya get what I'm getting at? —JasonOlshefsky

2007-04-19 09:28:55   I would like to be able to add "tags" to pages, or at least have some way of categorizing a page. That way it would be possible to have automatically generated category pages, such as "people", "restaurants", "landmarks", etc. instead having to manually update them each time a new page is added. —DavidHowe

2007-04-19 23:21:09   Jason: our current comment system would make this difficult, but I think it is a great idea. I'll see what I can do. Until we go through a major upgrade, features like this will be difficult to implement. There is no seperation between page text and comment text in the current database.

I am interested in having user interest and activity have greater influence over the front page. 'Interesting Pages' has fallen short as the wiki has grown. I've been trying to improve the bookmark system on my test install. [WWW]Check it out by clicking here. My concept is to rank pages by the # of times any one page has been bookmarked, and to allow users to share recommendations of their favorites pages. Once a page is bookmarked, the bookmark page will allow them to enter in a brief block of text to describe the page and choose to share it. You can view output from these features on the right hand side of my wiki's Front Page. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on the concept. —RobertPolyn

2007-04-19 23:26:17   David: I fullheartedly that tags would be a great addition to the wiki. We've been pining for a tagging system for ages, and have recently been seriously discussing proper implementation. I would not be at all surprised to see a beta attempt within the next few months. —RobertPolyn

2007-06-16 09:09:20   I think there might be something wrong with the mapping function. I noticed that the address links tended to take about 1 second each to appear on the Rubino's page and when I clicked the map link, there were hundreds of stick-pins for (what seemed to be) all the locations in RocWiki. —JasonOlshefsky

2007-06-16 14:34:16   Jason - the Rubino's page works for me now. There are about 20 nearby locations, like other pages.

Also, we'd missed the issue you reported on 4/20 with the /wiki link. I fixed that. Thanks. —RottenChester

2008-10-24 22:48:06   Is it possible to provide an XML dump of the wiki on a regular basis? I know this is possible with Sycamore, and it would ease the creation of things like iPhone or Android apps that use RocWiki content. —DeanRzonca

2012-03-22 13:02:31   When I'm scrolling through your lists of things like restaurants or festivals, you have the same entry under multiple categories on the same list page. Is there a way to view a list of all entries with no repeats? —andidali

2012-03-22 14:21:05   Not with the current system, it's all done manually now. —DamianKumor

2020-10-30 20:57:32   The random selections seen when clicking on the Recent Changes tab is lousy. I use this a lot to find pages to improve, and as I am clicking I see a lot of repeats. Where is the software that makes this work? —GaryGocek
