Attica is a town about midway between Rochester & Buffalo, located in Wyoming County which lies southwest of Monroe County (the two counties do not actually border each other).

Route 98 is the major North-South route through town.

Attica is perhaps most well-known for the prison riots which occured in the Attica Correctional Facility in 1971.
