Bernunzio's Deli & Bakery was a deli, bakery and convenience store on the border of Brighton and Penfield on Penfield Road. The entrance is actually on an adjoining road named Colonial Village Road.
On October 6th, 2015, they announced:
To Our Valued Customers
With saddened Hearts we have closed our doors here at Bernunzio's for the last time. Due to circumstances beyond our control and not without giving it all the fight we have in us we have had to end our time as the owner/proprietor of this establishment, our home. Chef Dan can be still reached for your catering needs. We have a wonderful following for catering and we want to be able to still provide you with our finest quality product. This decision was made with much thought and contemplation. We have met and served so many wonderful customers who made this decision a difficult one as we feel so connected to you all. We hope the future is a bright one for you all and we will always be thankful for your support and patronage.
Sincerely, Chef Dan and Sharon

2012-03-24 21:24:36 A decent local deli. I've bought subs and cookies here. They're usually pretty generous ingredients, and the employees are cheerful. The "convenience store" aspect is a little generous, as it's basically a shelf with dried pasta/bread/etc, and a cooler that has a couple gallons of milk. —RichMulvey
