Rochester has a number of convenience stores, sometimes referred to as corner stores due to their frequent appearance at street corners. Wikipedia defines convenience stores as "a small store or shop in a built up area that stocks a range of everyday items such as groceries, toiletries, alcoholic and soft drinks, and may also offer money order and wire transfer services."
As of July 2012, Rochester is said to have about 350 corner stores. This map shows their locations.
