2007-04-02 13:49:56   Just opened. Great Mexican food, and lots of it, at a very good price. —RemekKocz

2007-04-02 14:54:41   Went there for lunch the other day, was rather disappointed. Tacos were mediocre, with dryish chicken and way too much cheese, and the chile relleno I ordered seemed to have been microwaved - parts of it were scalding hot while other parts were refrigerator cold. While my waiter (may have also been the owner and / or manager, I'm not sure) was very professional and apologetic and offered a replacement dish when I complained about this, I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. —DanielMiner

2007-06-27 11:17:19   Best restaurant to open in this location in awhile, probably will actually stay in business unlike some of the other places. Great food and Good prices. I actually think it has more flavor than Selena's or Marias —MattHeimb

2007-07-19 23:44:09   I had a horrible dining experience here. My taco had grease dripping from it, and I couldn't eat it. The rest of my meal was edible, but definitly not enjoyable. My companion ordered a beef burrito but instead was served a chicken burrito. I wouldn't go back here if you paid me. —FattyFatFat

2007-07-25 15:24:06   I go to El Parian every week. I believe they have broken the curse of that location. The menu is varied - more than just tacos and burritos. There is grilled fish and chicken with various sauces. They do a great job grilling - lots of flavor. Try Pechuga Especial - bacon, mushrooms, and cheese sauce, and it's a proper cheese sauce, not that bright yellow Velveeta "nacho" crap. The service has been consistently friendly and prompt. The commenters who had problems must have gone to a different place... —MarkWilson

2007-07-28 11:35:17   I went here last Wednesday night and I asked the waiter what his reccomendation would be. he suggested (sp?) Enchiladas Suizas. I have to say that they were fabulous! Temperature was perfect all the way through (did not appear to have been microwaved at all) and the refried beans were probably the best I have ever. If you like Dos Exquis be sure to order it draft style, you will save quite a bit over the bottled version. Wish we had seen that before we placed our first order! —DeniseElliott

2007-08-19 19:51:17   I ams o glad this restaurant opened! It is in my opinion the ONLY good semi-authentic mexican restaurant in Rochester, and I really hope that it has broken the curse of that spot! GOOOO HERE! —EmilyWinton

2007-08-25 13:47:40   Decent Mexican food, especially for Henrietta. Service, as in the the Eat Out Rochester review, was a bit spotty. Food arrived at out table quickly, but there was no follow-up when I wanted another beer and more tortillas. The food was okay; tamales and tacos were well prepared but somewhat bland. The combination fajitas (with pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo) were very tasty, although for some reason a big sizzling platter was only served with 2 small flour tortillas. I'd say give the place a shot, with some small improvements to the service, El Parian will be a winner. —NathanHenderson

2007-09-07 19:13:10   I don't know what people in Rochester think is "authentic Mexican food" ... but this is NOT IT. Another bland Mexican place for this city. My dad is from Guadalajara (where the mural is from) and I would be **ashamed** to bring him here. —MarcVera

2007-11-10 15:14:37   My husband and I weren't impressed with this restaurant, but the food was so cheap that I'd probably try it again. The only problem would be convincing my husband, since he doesn't really care for Mexican. Everything about the experience was average. —CatMagro

2007-11-17 19:06:14   Ate there tonight on our way back from Lowes. The service was prompt and when we left a little after 5, there were four other occupied tables.

The menu is very dense; it's easy to get lost in it. We came to the conclusion that they tried to cram so many disparate dishes into the menu that they couldn't execute any of them terribly well (although nothing was bad). The end result is food that tastes like it has been watered down for the masses.

They have [wikipedia]horchata on the menu, but they were all sold out, so we didn't get to try it. —DaveMahon
