I came to Rochester to attend the University of Rochester in 1997 and stayed, eventually becoming a University employee. My partner and I are homeowners in the 19th Ward and proudly supported AIDS Rochester, Interfaith Action, the Seneca Park Zoo, Lamberton Conservatory, 19th Ward Community Association and Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley.

I have relocated to Chicago, Illinois and am no longer a resident of New York State. While I am happy to engage in meta-conversations, I don't expect that I will be closely monitoring page content for accuracy anymore.

I am currently a member of the AdminGroup.

I have been a PADI certified scuba diver since 1995, but I don't enjoy diving up here where the water is cold. Some of the cooler things I have experienced underwater include racing a sea turtle (and losing horribly, those suckers are fast!), watching cuttlefish mate and swimming through a school of feeding sharks. Most of my diving has been in the Eastern Caribbean, but I have done some diving off the Atlantic Seaboard and along the Gulf coast of Mexico. The photo on my C-card is highly amusing to all who see it. Sadly, I don't look all that different today.

People on my Facebook friends list are welcome to enjoy a virtual photographic tour of my new home, at least as it appeared as of June. Rooms continue to change as I go through repairing broken or grungy bits.

I have developed a Greasemonkey script rocwikirecentchanges.user.js that modifies the Recent changes page to make common moderation activities much easer by:


• Adding a history link to quickly view the page's complete edit history
  

• Eliminating the mouseover to view the IP address from which changes were made
  

• Adding a link to each editor's UserInfo page to see their history of changes

Another script I've developed, pageedithistory.user.js modifies page edit histories (the Info button on the page) to add a column displaying the IP address from which the edit was posted.

Note that to download the scripts, you must:


1. Deactivate Greasemonkey.
   

2. Save the file.
   

3. Reactivate Greasemonkey
   

4. Open the file in Firefox to automatically install the script.

I'm releasing both into the public domain. Do with them as you will.


Note: Neither script has been updated since we transitioned to the newer engine. While the scripts still run, they don't do it as well as they used to.

2011-01-21 01:44:37   Having returned to RocWiki to do some additional editing as a Bucket List item during my last few months, I have found myself unfortunately again in dispute with PeteB as well as TippingPoint, your fellow Admins. Request you review The Chicken Coop/Talk for my response to their actions regarding my edits to that page and their positions regarding "ownership" of pages. —BradMandell
