Brooks Crossing Apartments (formerly known as The Flats at Brooks Landing) is a 80,000-sq-ft, 11-story UR student dorm that is part of the Brooks landing Project.
3,500 square feet of the first floor serves as the scull boat house by the UR crew team, while another 5,300 square feet is reserved as space for a restaurant to be opened to the general public. Another 1,063 square feet of space serves as the common area. Floors 2-11 consist of 70 residential units.
This building is next to the Staybridge Suites. A Visions Federal Credit Union was planned for the space adjacent to the parking lot, but the status of the phase is currently unknown.
Construction began in July 2013 and was completed in Fall 2014. It was supposed to be done in August, forcing UR to temporarily house students in local hotels.
