Northern Gateway Landing is a proposed mixed-use development on the site of what was formerly the Downtown Motor Lodge. Located just to the south of 490 along Byron Street between South Clinton and South Avenue. Flower City Management, has participated in a design charette as part of the planning process. Plans call for 40 condominiums and eight townhouses, and 11,000 square feet of commercial space on a contiguous parcel. The company is renovating the building next to that, at 426 South Ave., with retail space and two apartments. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2007.
More recently this project has become Wedge Point.
