South and Hickory Place is a development in the heart of the South Wedge neighborhood. The $4.8 million complex includes a four-story, mixed-use building with 7,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor and 33 apartments on the upper floors. The residential segment includes a combination of studios and one- and two-bedroom units. Most are offered at market-rate prices, but 14 units are also available as affordable housing.

The building's exterior borrows from the Brownstone architecture of Brooklyn. It was constructed on a formerly empty lot between the buildings that house Mis En Place and Mercury Coffee to the south and Sterling Studios at Flower Power Decor.
